Colectividad Testimonial

Colectividad Testimonial is a concept, a proposal designed as a journey that intends to highlight the strengths and limitations that arise when trying to develop an empathic link among Peruvians. It is a multimedia installation that allows us to speak about a sense of unity, not only in past tragedies but also in the possibility of a different future under by a genuine syncretism.

Our interest is to promote rapprochement among Peruvians by revisiting the past. We seek to provide the audience with a closer experience of the internal armed conflict and political violence events that took place between the years 1980-2000. This sample is, for that matter, a new form of museology.

Through a significant sample of testimonies from the victims, we propose the issue of social and cultural gaps (and the discrimination that lies within), not only as determinant factors and causes of political violence, but also as barriers that, even today, impede a full identification with the victims of the conflict (journey, here).
